The Most Common Reasons for Visa Rejections

The Visa Appeal Process

All visa appeals have to be submitted through VFS Global, as that is where the initial application was done, and they are the outsourced service provider of the government of South Africa for receiving visa applications. One thing that is worth mentioning here is the fact that as soon as your visa is rejected, you have ten working days to lodge an appeal via the VFS Global and physically attend the offices for submission.
This appeal file should include a cover letter presenting your case, accompanied by an addendum or corrected documentation. The application is then forwarded to the DHA for consideration, and the ruling is pursued by the Director-General of the Department of Home Affairs, who has legislative powers to set aside or uphold visa rulings.
