For Kenyan citizens living in South Africa who have not yet updated their passports to an 'E-Passport' must make arrangements to do so as soon as possible. Passports that are not updated will be rendered invalid from 31 August 2019. Kenyan citizens can file online for their new passport but will need to attend Pretoria in person to complete biometrics. More information about this can be found here.

The holder of an invalid passport will not be able to travel internationally or renew their visas if in South Africa.

If you are a Kenyan citizen and have a visa in your old passport, it is important to apply for a transfer of your visa into your new passport. This can be done through VFS Global. If you have any questions, please contact us and we can assist you with the process.
